Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center is a 396-bed, acute-care hospital located on two campuses in the San Fernando Valley.

At Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, our volunteers are a vital component of our healthcare team. In fact, they are such an integral part of our day-to-day activities that we consider them as important to a patients overall health and recovery.

The type of person who chooses to volunteer his or her time to helping hospital patients is looking for more than an activity that passes the time. The volunteers at Encino-Tarzana contribute to the comfort, care and well-being of our patients and their friends and family.

The Volunteer Program is open to men, women and teens from Encino, Tarzana and surrounding areas. Each volunteer selected is oriented and trained in an area that is appropriate taking into consideration that persons unique talents and interests. While some volunteers come to Encino-Tarzana looking to have direct interaction with patients, others prefer helping behind the scenes. Whats important is that the experience is both rewarding for the volunteer and helpful for patients and staff.

Encino-Tarzana is pleased to offer a volunteer program for young people. Volunteering provides an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, especially in the field of health care. Applications are accepted from high school students, 16 years or older. Due to the popularity of the program, there may be a waiting list for admission.
